(Paso Robles, CA) - Heritage Oaks Bank will host its 14th Annual Family Fun Day and Fun Run on Sunday, September 30, 2012. The annual event has evolved over the years, but the vision remains rooted deeply in community: supporting local non-profit organizations and providing athletic events along with a fun expo offering food, games, and music in the Paso Robles City Park. All race entry fees for the 2012 event will be donated to the Paso Robles Public Library, Achievement House and Big Brothers Big Sisters of SLO County.

New to the event this year is the event’s Race Director. Heather Hellman from Get Off The Couch Potato Sports Productions, producers of the San Luis Obispo Marathon + Half, will take on the duties of race organization and promotion, along with Heritage Oaks Bank and Barnett Cox & Associates.

“I am very excited to be on the Heritage Oaks Bank Team to produce this race,” says Hellman. “It’s a fantastic community event and a great flat and fast course for Central Coast runners.”

This year’s Fun Run will be highlighted by the 10K and 5K races. Prize money will be awarded to the top three male and female racers for the 10K race and the top male and female for the 5K race with a total prize purse of $1,700 for both races.

Other race events include the half-mile run for kids ages 5 to 12 years old, 75-yard kids dash for kids up to 5 years old (parents are welcome to run free with kids), and the Not-So-Dirty Diaper Dash where each crawler tries to go 5 yards.

Each participant will receive a collectible t-shirt and a pancake breakfast, and will be eligible for great raffle prizes. Participants are encouraged to invite family and friends to join in the festivities. All interested participants can sign up online at www.hobfunrun.com.

The Heritage Oaks Bank Family Fun Day and Fun Run is supported by the City of Paso Robles and sponsored by Zurn Wilkins and the Paso Robles REC Foundation.
