My parents are my role models. They taught me to work hard and to do what I can to help others. Most of my 30-year employment career has been with City of Santa Maria. The goals I have set for myself include working to make the community a better place to live by taking an active part in community endeavors.

My favorite community moments include the running of the Special Olympic Torch through the area on its way to the Summer Special Olympic Games. I am inspired each time one of the children takes on a new challenge. I like to live by this saying, “Learn from your mistakes, just don’t learn too much.” I am a hobby photographer and a SF Giants fan.
