(Paso Robles, CA) – Heritage Oaks Bank is pleased to announce Steve Martin as the new Commercial Lending Group Manager for the Main Branch in Paso Robles. Steve will be responsible for coordinating and supervising all commercial lending activities, including business development programs in the Paso Robles area. He will also be responsible for growing and managing a loan portfolio and will oversee all business unit functions relative to profitability, minimizing credit risk, and improving efficiency in line with the bank's strategic objectives.

Steve received his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and his Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Golden Gate University. He graduated from Pacific Coast Banking School in 2002. In addition, Steve graduated from UC Davis with Bachelor of Science degree in Plant Science.

Prior to joining Heritage Oaks Bank, Steve spent 17 of his 25 years in banking with Pacific Capital Bank where he held the position of Senior Vice President, Regional Manager. He managed a portfolio of approximately $198.0 million and a staff of 17. During his banking career Steve obtained expertise in commercial, real estate, construction, and account receivable financing. He also served as the Moody’s Software Project Manager and Cash Flow Trainer for Pacific Capital.

Currently, Steve serves on the Board of Directors of the Las Jollas de Rancho Grande HOA and is an active member of New Life Community Church in Pismo Beach. He is also a former member of the San Luis Obispo Rotary de Tolosa and the Salinas Jaycees. In his spare time, Steve enjoys spending time with his family as well as hiking, golfing, and wine tasting. Born and raised in Salinas, Steve now resides in Arroyo Grande.
