The 11th Annual Heritage Oaks Bank Family Fun Day & Fun Run, held the last Sunday of every September in Paso Robles, donated more than $18,000 back into our local community. “This year’s event continued the tradition of our bank’s community outreach to have a one-day event where the entire family can participate,” says Mitch Massey, Senior Vice President Marketing and also Race Director. Each year the Fun Run selects four non-profit organizations to benefit. 100 percent of all race entry proceeds are donated back. Each participant gets to select which non-profit organization they want to support.

This year’s recipients were:

• CASA Court Appointed Special Advocates CASA extends a heartfelt thank you to Heritage Oaks Bank for the generous donation from the annual Fun Run. Through its support, Heritage Oaks Bank helps keep CASA funded and able to provide advo-cates for abused and neglected children in our community. Thank you so much! Teresa Tardiff, Executive Director, CASA for Children of San Luis Obispo County

• Area on Aging “The donation from Heritage Oaks Bank will allow the Area Agency on Aging to distribute copies of the new edition of the San Luis Obispo County Senior Information Guide to senior citizens and caregivers throughout the county,” announced Mike Suddarth, member of the Board of Directors. “This valuable guide is made available free of charge and provides information to assist senior citizens to remain safe and secure in their own homes. Joyce Ellen Lippman, Central Coast Commission for Senior Citizens

• Paso Robles Public Library For over a decade, the Heritage Oaks Bank Family Fun Day & Fun Run has generated significant funds for local non-profits, including the Paso Robles Library Foundation. At a time when libraries across the nation are cutting hours or even closing their doors for good, your continued financial support has helped the Paso Robles City Library maintain the high quality of service that our community has come to expect. Your tireless community advocacy and dedication to the Library has enabled local readers of all ages to discover, to learn and to grow. Please accept my sincere thanks for your continued support. Julie Dahlen, City Librarian, Paso Robles City Library

• Boys and Girls Club of North San Luis Obispo County “The Boys & Girls Club of North San Luis Obispo County is fortunate to have the generous support of community businesses. Heritage Oaks Bank continues to be a leader in positively affecting the lives of our youth, benefitting the entire community. We are extremely grateful to Heritage Oaks Bank for their sponsorship of this cherished community event.” Lauren Cross, Executive Director C.P.O, Boys & Girls Club of North San Luis Obispo County
