Heritage Oaks Bank Gives Tour of Local Office to Underprivelaged Youth - 03/20/09

(Paso Robles, CA)-On February 20, 2009, Heritage Oaks Bank along with their mascot Oaklee, gave a group of children from the Youth Education Enhancement Program (YEEP) a tour of their banking office located at 400 South River Road in Paso Robles. A group of ten children who participate in the program were shown the inner workings of a bank office, including behind the teller line, where the safe deposit boxes are kept and the bank vault.

"A big part of our community giving is having the opportunity to educate the youth of our community on the banking industry. Our commitment to the Youth Education Enhancement Program gives us this educational opportunity," says Mitch Massey, SVP/Director of Marketing for Heritage Oaks Bank.

YEEP is available to residents as well as other local children for after-school assistance with school work and reading instruction and is a part of the Peoples Self-Help Housing. A non-profit corporation dedicated to providing affordable housing and programs leading to self-sufficiency for low-income families, seniors and other special needs groups on the Central Coast.
