Executive Management Team
LAWRENCE P. WARD, President and CEO
Larry Ward has been President and Chief Executive Officer of Heritage Oaks Bank since January 11, 1993. Prior to that he led the Bank of Evergreen, Evergreen, Colorado, as President and CEO. Larry strives to balance the needs of Bank customers, employees and shareholders, ensuring that each group gets what they need to be a satisfied and loyal part of the larger whole. His family makes their home in Paso Robles.
MARGARET A. TORRES, Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer
Margaret Torres has been Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Company and the Bank since February, 1999. Prior to that, she was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Antelope Valley Bank for eight years. Margaret is dedicated to the financial health and well-being of this institution, keeping it strong so that the Bank can continue to help those in our community to thrive.
PAUL TOGNAZZINI, Executive Vice President & Chief Lending Officer
Paul Tognazzini has been Chief Lending Officer since 1990, and an Executive VP since 1997. His goal is to provide each and every client with a personalized level of service that they need to succeed. While we are a fiscally prudent institution, Paul and his team bend over backwards to fulfill this community's lending needs.
GWEN R. PELFREY, Executive Vice President & Chief Administrative Officer
Gwen Pelfrey has been Secretary of the Company since 1994, and Secretary, Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of the Bank since 1987. Gwen is dedicated to ensuring that fair and consistent Bank policies are in place and stringently adhered to, leading to a smooth and efficient banking process for all customers.
MARK W. STASINIS, Executive Vice President & Southern Regional Manager
Mark Stasinis has been Executive Vice President, Southern Regional Manager since January 1, 2006. For the previous nine years, he fulfilled the role of SVP, Lending Officer for Heritage Oaks Bank. His philosophy is to always favor the relationship over the transaction, and to keep every interaction personal.
JONI WATSON, Executive Vice President & Human Resources Officer
Joni Watson has been the Executive Vice President and Human Resources Officer of the Bank since June 23, 2006. Joni has held HR and Organization Development Management positions with Wells Fargo, People Development, and Countrywide Financial. She brings her superior skills to Heritage Oaks Bank to ensure that every employee is dedicated to going the extra mile for our customers.
CRAIG A. HEYL, Executive Vice President & Client Services Officer
Craig Heyl has been the Executive Vice President, Client Services Officer since September 1, 2006. Craig joined Heritage Oaks Bank in 2005 as a Commercial Relationship Manager. Prior to that he was a Senior Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager at Bank of America. Craig is dedicated to ensuring our clients financial needs are understood, and then met with world class service.

MICHAEL J. MORRIS, Chairman
Mr. Morris is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company
and the Bank since June 2007. Morris first joined the Board of Directors
in January 2001. He's an attorney and Chairman of the Board of the law
firm of Andre Morris & Buttery.
DONALD H. CAMPBELL, Vice Chairman
Mr. Campbell is Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company and of the Bank since November 15, 1994, and 1983, respectively. He's the owner of El Pomar Vineyard Service.
KENNETH L. DEWAR
Mr. Dewar is President of J.B. Dewar, Inc., a wholesale petroleum distributor. He's been a Director of the Company and of the Bank since August 27, 1998.
DOLORES T. LACEY
Ms. Lacey, a local rancher, businesswoman, and past president of the American Beef Council, has been a Director of the Company and of the Bank since January 23, 1997.
ALEXANDER SIMAS
Mr. Simas was appointed to the Hacienda Bank Board in August 1998 and made Vice Chairman in April 2001. Subsequent to the acquisition of Hacienda Bank by Heritage Oaks Bancorp on October 31, 2003, he was appointed to the Company Board in November 2003. Mr. Simas practices law and is a senior shareholder in the attorney firm of Kirk & Simas.
LAWRENCE P. WARD
Mr. Ward has been a Director of the Bank since 1993 and of the Company since 1994. He is also President and CEO of Heritage Oaks Bank.
MARK FUGATE
Mr. Fugate was appointed to the Hacienda Bank Board in April 2000 and subsequent to the acquisition of Hacienda Bank by Heritage Oaks Bancorp on October 31, 2003, was appointed to the Company Board in November 2003. He is a principal in Fugate Farming Company and Charter Brokerage & Investment Company.
MERLE F. MILLER
Mr. Miller has been a Director of the Company since 1994, and a Director of the Bank since 1985. He's a rancher and owner of Golden Hill Company, a land sales and development firm.
DANIEL J. O'HARE, C.P.A.
Mr. O'Hare is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a director at GBP&B, Certified Public Accountants in San Luis Obispo.
