Giving back to our community
Heritage Oaks Bank is committed to positively impacting our community through events, education, encouraging staff volunteer activities, and donations. Heritage Oaks Bank is the Central Coast's Community Bank since 1983. The continued involvement in the communities we serve will help enhance their economic vitality and social welfare.
To be considered for a charitable contribution from Heritage Oaks Bank, donations must be used to serve the communities within our market place. It is preferred that donation recipients hold a current IRS non-profit organization 501(c)3 designation1 and the donation must be directed towards one of these four categories:
- Education
- Youth
- Community Development
- Community Reinvestment Act:

The Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) was enacted in 1977 under the Jimmy Carter administration to encourage depository institutions to help meet the credit needs, including mortgages and commercial business loans, of the communities in which they operate. This also includes low- and moderate-income neighborhoods, consistent with safe and sound operations of the institution.
Heritage Oaks Bank's goal is to always support the needs of the communities we serve. CRA is an established part of the bank's planning process in supporting credit needs that help the social and economic well-being of individuals, businesses and organizations on the Central Coast.
